Common Questions

How long of a session should I do and how often should I come?
This depends and I usually answer the question after finding out more about a client. What are your needs? Do you have an injury that is going to require time to heal; are you coming for just relaxation? Or do you have specific body work needs from daily living? The answer could be as varied as there are clients.
For general relaxation the answer is, as much as you would like to come and can afford. Massage has so many benefits that there are hardly any reasons at all it would be detrimental to you. Personally if I had time I would get a massage a day!
How often do I personally get Massages?
I get this question a lot and when I first started out as a therapist I used to think of myself as a bit spoiled because of how often I go, two times a month. Today I understand that it comes with the job territory. As a Massage therapist I am constantly using my body’s muscles. I’m on my feet all day long working, so I find that twice a month keeps my body in good shape along with yoga, exercise, eating right and getting enough rest.
Can you refer me to a therapist?
I do recommend therapists when my clients cannot get in to see me and really need an appointment, if I’m out of town or if the client needs a specialty modality that I do not offer. All of the Massage Therapists that I recommend are licensed experienced therapists and very good at what they do.
Where did you go to school?
The schools and classes that I have taken are listed under about me.
What type of massage should I get, what the difference?
If you look on my web page listed under services you will see a list of the different massage modalities that I offer and what each one is used for. Most of the time I mix my modalities to give the client the best possible massage for them.
What type of oil or lotion do you use?
I use a professional grade massage oil, lotion and cream. All of which are unscented, water soluble (so they wash out clean), and non staining. They all readily absorb into the skin and do not leave a film on you all day long. I use my oil mostly. For deep work I will use the cream or lotion but all of which are strictly made for Massage.
Do you have showers?
Yes I have a shower, as well as a wet room facility and also offer Body Scrubs, Herbal Detox Wraps, Inch Loss Wraps, Mud Detox, Dry Brushing and Sugar Scrubs.
How far in advance do I need to book an appointment?
The more time that you give me to book your appointment the better chance you have of getting the exact time that you need. Usually a day or two in advance is good but a week is better. I do take same day appointments but you should call eary in the day and it's usually only if I get a cancelation in my schedual.
